There was a lot of activity in Woolworths this weekend as local gardeners got wind that the store was selling both black and red grape vines for £3.99 each. It seems the idea of vine cultivation hit a spot and the local allotments are set to become home to row upon row of vines from now on. Our warming climate will help these tender plants to survive, so who knows, in a few years time we could all be drinking wines from the Windsor vinyards.
