Corby- Blimey

Stephen Fry was on TV the other day and mentioned in passing that the Corby Trouser Press has no0thing to do with the northern town and was in fact invented in Windsor.
A bit of research revealed that John Corby Limited was established in Windsor, England in 1930.

Things that go bump in the night

I never knew Windsor was haunted but apparently we have a Charles, two Georges and a whole raft of Henry VIIIs wives spooking about the place. The article also talks of Herene the hunter as a ghost, but i'm not sure gods or demigods (Herne is said to be a derivation of the Saxon god Cernunnos ) can be ghosts as well.

The Windsor Wheel

The Windsor Wheel looks amazing. This weekend I will find out what the view from this huge ferris wheel is like. Looking forward to seeing Windsor (and eton, datchet, heathrow and all the way to the London Eye I am told) from a new angle.
