QUEEN & PHILIP may spend Christmas at Windsor

QUEEN & PHILIP may spend Christmas at Windsor.

According to thepeople.co.uk, her majesty wishes to spend Christmas 2007 at Windsor rather than Sandringham because it is easier for princes William an Harry to join the family celebrations if held there.

How much is that shop on the high street?

I just did a bit of digging and found that if anyone has a spare £60K they could purchase the Restaurant (fittings included) of the recently closed Thai place above the Green Olive Tapas Bar on the High Street opposite St. Andrew's Church.

OK, so it suffers from a lack of passing traffic, and some people might object to a view of the graveyard while tucking into a Pad Kei Mai and prawn crackers, but nonetheless, it is an interesting proposition.

Results of the Big Royal Dig - Channel4.com

Channel4.com have published the results of the Windsor Big Royal Dig . During excavations at the castle last week they found the foundations of Edward III's Round Table building in the upper ward and in Windsor Castle's lower ward, they located the definitive location for Henry II's Great Hall.

A different angle

The windsor wheel is gone. This morning I watched the team of workers take the superstructure down. The frame, without a wheel in the centre looks odd, a structure that really does appear incomplete. Alexandra gardens will now be quiet again for a few months until the return of the successful Windsor open air Ice Rink.

Svengali goes silent

Rumors are reaching the Windsor Berkshire website that calls are going unanswered and people seeking refunds on their tickets following the cancellation of the festival that was to be held at the racecourse are being met with stony silence.

Watch this space.

Goodbye to the Wheel

The Windsor Wheel rolls out of town, but after the success of the venture I suspect we may see it come back soon.
