Windsor Farmers Market

Windsor has a long history of market stalls going back almost 1000 years. The latest incarnation is the monthly Farmers Market at the bottom of Peascod Street near the Arts Centre.

The Windsor Farmer's Market is open between 09:00 - 13:00 on the first Saturday of the month. Up to 30 stalls sell organic food and drink. The local beers and ciders are worth trying and there is a excellent bread stall selling interesting loaves. Obviously organic beef lamb and chicken are available, but also locally reared goose (when in season) can be found.

For those of us with a sweet tooth there is usually a cake stall while for those who like their food with a bit of spice, some great curry sauces, pickles and spices can be purchased from a small local producer.

With O'Driscoll's fishmongers open and Anthony Worrall Thompson's Deli just down the road, this little corner of Windsor is a food fan's delight.

The closest car park is just a few minutes walk away at East Berkshire College.
