Windsor residents are becoming concerned over at the possibility of a major flooding as the Thames waters rose overnight and were predicted to continue rising for the next two days. The river is expected to burst its banks up at Oxford some time later today or early tomorrow.
Staff from the Royal Borough are issuing sandbags to properties where there is an imminent risk of flooding. If you are concerned about flooding please call the RBWM Customer Service Centre on 01628 683804 (during office hours) or 01753 853517 (Out of Hours emergency number).
The environment agency website shows maps of risk, so you can see if your property is in an at-risk area.
Yesterday afternoon the environment agency released a Flood Warning for the River Thames from Victoria Bridge, Windsor to Bell Weir Lock, including Datchet, Old Windsor and Wraysbury.
