Wedding Venues in Windsor
Windsor is a great town to get married in. Alongside the churches of Windsor, The prime wedding venue in Windsor is the Guildhall on the High Street. Most noteably the venue for Prince Charles' marriage to Camilla, the Guildhall is available to anyone. In fact, six months to the day before the royal wedding, my wife and I were married there.
More recently Sir Elton John used the Guildhall for his civil partnership ceremony to David Furnish.

The Guildhall Interior
As you can see, the guildhall has a spendidly elegant interior and provides the right sense of ocassion for a wedding.
There is a flight of steps in the Guildhall and no lift, although there is a stairlift. If you want lots of wheelchair bound people to attend your wedding then make sure you are happy with the facilities before booking.
Other local venues licensed for marriages include Slough Registry office (bad choice), the Castle Hotel, Oakley Court, Royal Windsor Racecourse, Sir Christopher Wren Hotel or Taplow House.
Beaumont House in Old Windsor is also lovely, although for your guests to get taxis from the Windsor train stations will cost around £8.00 per car. I went to a wedding at Beaumont recently and heard two complaints from people who didn't realise how far Windsor is from Old Windsor.
If you are looking for a wedding venue that is a bit different, then Legoland could be right for you. If you have young children from an earlier marriage, or lots of nieces and nephews coming to the ceremony, you might want to pick this venue so that they can play in the fun park while the adults get on with the marriage ceremony.
