The thames pageant planning is going ahead… I would say full steam, but since all craft including the royal barge Gloriana will be rowed, can we say ‘full pull’?
Anyway, a flotilla of rowed historic craft will follow the Gloriana from Hurley to Runnymede over the weekend of the 13th and 14th June 2015.
On the royal shallop ‘jubilant’ a copy of Magna Carta will be carried and at locations along the river route there will be poetry, historical reenactment a and entertainments of all sorts. It culminates in the arrival of Magna Carta at Runnymede where a huge festival will take place. This is an opportunity to be part of an historic celebration that will enjoy a worldwide audience.
