This year the country’s largest Horse Show features ‘A gallop through History’. This special Jubilee Celebration is a real highlight and joins the disciplines of showjumping, endurance eventing, showing and a myriad of displays that have made the Windsor Horse show a world class event.

Local schools will be performing musical concerts throughout the spring and summer in honour of Her Majesty. These concerts will showcase the talent of young musicians from the community. This is a great opportunity to support local talent and enjoy some wonderful music.

Witness the beacon lighting

On the evening of 2nd June thousands of beacons will be ignited, Lighting up the UK and Commonwealth for the Queen’s Jubilee. All manner of dignitaries, celebrities, and members of the public will be invited to light them. The beacons will shine brightly, symbolising unity and celebration. Windsor will have a beacon at the end of the long walk nearest the castle. The Town Crier will read an official proclamation before the beacon is lit at dusk.

Join the Picnic in the Park on Saturday 4th June

Everyone is invited to come to Windsor’s Long Walk and bring a picnic to celebrate the jubilee with friends and neighbours in one of the most beautiful locations you could wish for. Make sure to pack sandwiches, some salads and any treats you fancy. Don’t forget the drinks and, of course, a selection of cakes for dessert!

Hear the Town Criers proclaim ‘God Save the Queen’

A competition will be held in Windsor on 20th August. Criers from all around the country and overseas will compete to see who can score best for volume, diction and clarity. The event is free for spectators so come on down to the centre of Windsor from 10am.
