After giving four crowd rousing performances yesterday, the finalists for the role of Windsor and Maidenhead Town Crier are nervously awaiting the announcement of who is to be appointed the voluntary role.

Candidates include:

Chris Brown from Windsor.  A 44 year old web designer who is passionate about his home town and likes nothing more than to tell others all about it.

Mike Foster from Maidenhead.  A 53 year old taxi driver who wants to bring a big voice and sense of humour to the role.

David Pelling from Reading.  A 66 year old part-time managing director who has fond memories of Windsor and Maidenhead from his days as a local youth.

Roy Austin from Hurst.  A 58 year old distributor for John Lewis and master of ceremonies and toastmaster in his spare time.
